Comment From the Conservative Times

Mr. Millican or one of his supporters has been posting at our website, www.conservativetimes.org. At the website I have asked a couple of times what Mr. Millican's views are on foreign policy. Is he for or against the Iraq War? In general is he pro-intervention or anti-intervention? We would appreciate a reply. We will even be happy to post it as a Guest Author column.

Thanks,
Red Phillips

Tom Millican for President said...

Mr. Phillips thanks for writing me. I am sorry that I have not responded before now to the numerous times that you have asked for my opinion on your website. To be honest I have not seen those requests as I do not go to your site everyday. Some of my staff has been sending in snippets from emails that are sent to us from your site.

As a Monday morning quarterback I will answer your question but first I need to go back to a time before the war and even before 911. This will in part be my bases for my answer to your questions. They being, am I for or against the Iraq War and am I pro-intervention or anti-intervention?

Somewhere along the way since the seventies attention to our immigration laws have been diverted and the reasons why are as numerous as the number of freckles that I have and that is a lot. Throughout the eighties and nineties the international terrorist were causing a great deal of harm to American interest all around the world and in America. During that time frame and beyond the international terrorist had no problem entering our country. With no one watching the gate it was not difficult for them to get into America at will.

My contention is that we would not be in Iraq or Afghanistan if we were more vigilant and enforced the immigration laws that were and are on the books. We would not be in Iraq or Afghanistan because 911 never would have happened if we were standing guard over the greatest Nation in the world. There is much blame to go around and it all lies at the feet of the Democrats and the Republicans.

Now we are there and because we are there I see it is an opportunity for America to show the Middle East another side of what America is like that the Middle East has never seen up close and intimate. America must help rebuild both countries; Roads, utilities, schools, and hospitals then leave. The rebuilding of these two countries is in my opinion biblical. The Bible teaches that if you borrow something and use, abuse or lose it you must repay the lender with a better one than the one borrowed.

We should not have any military presence left once we leave. Leaving no bases there and by showing our kindness in our helping them rebuild their countries may just give America the leg up that they need to win the hearts and minds of the people of these two countries as well as the rest of the Middle East.

We have spent billions of dollars and lost thousands of lives all because the gate to the greatest country in the world was left unattended. That will not happen on my watch. I will shore up all gateways to our country. I will remove all illegal aliens from our land. I will bring back all of the manufacturing jobs that the democrats and republicans let get shipped overseas. They even used our tax dollars to help many of these companies get resettled overseas.

To protect our jobs and businesses I will do whatever is necessary to level the playing field. This has to be accomplished in order to meet head on the looming Social Security and Medicare debacle. Do to the Trillions of dollars that will be necessary to keep America from going over the falls of bankruptcy I will take America out of the interventionist business. Do to the tidal wave of red ink that is barring down on America over the next 20 years our full attention is required.

I am not weak. I will, when and if necessary protect America. The difference between me and my predecessors is that I will not tip toe around, I will not waste lives and I will unleash the “Dogs of War” on whoever threatens our way of life. I will be vigilant and there will be guards at all of our gates. I believe that you should keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer. I will rebuild our intelligence communities. I will have eyes and ears on the ground all over the world. America will not look for a fight but America will be ready for a fight if necessary.

I believe that America has better things to do. I am leading an effort to return America to excellence. God, Country and Family are my watchwords. I believe as our forefathers believed that God has ordained America to greatness. Yet there are those who want to dilute America’s greatness. I have a definitive plan for my presidency, one which boldly outlines my course for America. I want to protect America and our Constitution and in doing so our future.
